Introducing the Bonebridge Product Range

Bonebridge aims to provide its customers with a choice of implants covering 90% of orthopaedic trauma. The Bonebridge development team consist of Swiss orthopaedic and trauma surgeons focusing to develop orthopaedic trauma implants reduced in complexity and maximized in clinical performance. Bonebridge received CE-marking of its first device in August 2019 – less than one year after starting its operative business.

Research and Development

All Bonebridge products are designed and developed in Switzerland. The long standing Swiss tradition in the design and the development of orthopaedic trauma implants is reflected not only by the AO/ASIF Foundation that was founded in Biel/Bienne on 6th of November 1958 but also the long lasting success of its three original commercial arms Synthes, Straumann and Mathys. Bonebridge is grateful to benefit from the vast knowledge and experience accumulated in the Swiss orthopedic trauma community over the last 60+ years.


Bonebridge implants are manufactured to highest standards in Switzerland. Contract manufacturers that have gained important know-how in the orthopaedic trauma industry over the last 60 years work along and together with Bonebridge to establish a cost-efficient and profitable manufacturing in Switzerland.


Bonebridge products are all subject to market approval by its Notified Body and undergo rigorous testing to achieve CE marking. These tests not only include diverse mechanical tests but also thorough clinical evaluation, biocompatibility testing and to the end extensive usability tests together with Bonebridge's surgical team.


Bonebridge runs a Quality Management System that is certified according to ISO 13485:2016 and according to Council Directive 93/42 Appendix II (CE) for Design, Development, Manufacturing and Distribution of osteosynthesis implants.
